| 内容記述 | 6つの単語'shaken'、'came'、'market'、'dark'、'cloudy'、'Capitol'の中の音声/k/について、日本人と英語母語話者の間では周波数構造(周波数帯域1,000Hz〜7,000Hz、発音開始から16ミリ秒間)にどのような違いがあるのかを調べた。その結果、英語母語話者は'cloudy'以外の5つの単語のいずれの場合も、周波数スペクトルにおける第1のピークが2,500Hz〜3,000Hzに、そして第2のピークが4,000Hz台に現れた。英語母語話者の'cloudy'は第1のピークが1,500Hzと低く、第2のピークはその他の単語と同様4,000Hz台であった。一方、日本人は'shaken'、'dark'、'cloudy'の/k/の第1ピークは英語母語話者の'cloudy'の場合と同様1,200Hz〜1,500Hzにあり、'came'、'market'、'Capitol'の/k/では英語母語話者と同じ2,500〜3,000Hzにあった。第2のピークについては英語母語話者と変わらず、4,000Hz台であった。即ち、'came'、'market'、'cloudy'、'Capitol'の/k/の出し方は、日本人は英語母語話者と同じであるが、'shaken'と'dark'の/k/の出し方は異なることがわかった。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | 6 kinds of sound /k/ ('shaken', 'came', 'market', 'dark', 'cloudy' and 'Capitol') are studied to examine the difference of the frequency spectrum pronounced by native speakers of Japanese and English. Wave forms given by the first 16 milliseconds of sound /k/ are taken as samples. By this analysis sounds /k/ are found to have two peaks in frequency spectrum. The first peak is detected at 1, 500〜3, 000Hz, and the second is at around 4, 000Hz. It was found that native speakers of English make the same first peak at 2, 500〜3, 000Hz for /k/s in 'shaken', 'came', 'market', 'dark', 'Capitol', and at around 1, 500Hz for /k/ in 'cloudy'. Japanese are found to have the first peak at 2, 500〜3, 000Hz for /k/s in 'came', 'market' and 'Capitol', but at around 1, 500Hz for /k/s in 'shaken', 'dark', and 'cloudy'. For the second frequency peak, difference was not found between any of all sounds of /k/ nor for both kinds of native speakers. | |||||
