With regard to mental health of the international students, it is essential to establish cooperative relationship between Japanese medical institutions and universities. Given the linguistic environment in Japan, where the dominant language is Japanese, it could be difficult for international student who need to visit a psychiatrist or mental hospital in Japan. This paper discusses the difficulties that international students may face when they visit psychiatric hospitals in Japan.
