「民主主義」に関する一考察　―教職課程の学生と考える「民主主義」― A Study on "Democracy" ―"Democracy" from the Discussion with the Students in the Teacher-training Course 藤原, 健剛 フジワラ, ケンゴウ FUJIWARA, Kengo 民主主義 欧米型民主主義 強権国家 教職課程の学生 討論会 democracy Western-style democracy authoritarian nation students in the teachertraining course discussion application/pdf 現在、欧米諸国や日本だけではなく世界のほとんどの国が民主主義の看板を掲げている。しかし、現実には欧米型民主主義国家といわゆる強権国家とに世界は急速に分断されつつある。さらに、欧米型民主主義はコロナ禍の中で内部的矛盾を増大させ、特に民主主義のリーダーであった米国では国民の分断が進み、民主主義は半壊の状態になっている。以上のような危機に立つ民主主義について、いくつかの観点から考察を加えるとともに、それをもとに教職課程の学生と討論会を持った。民主主義は端的に言えば、「皆で決めたことである、ゆえに権威を持つ」というシステムであるが、多数者が常に正しい選択をするわけではないので、国民一人一人はこの制度によって、社会が良い方向に止揚されていくように不断の努力を続けねばならないのである。討論会においては、筆者の予想を超えた視点からの意見や高い水準の意見がいくつも出たこと、全体として一定程度の視野の広がりや考えの深まりが確認できたことが収穫である。しかし一方で、討論テーマの具体化、グループワークの必要性、教員の進行方法の改善、実施学年の再考などが検討すべき内容として明らかになった。 Currently, most countries in the world, not just Western countries and Japan, uphold the cause of democracy. Actually, however, the world is rapidly being divided into Western-style democracies and so-called powerful nations. In addition, Western-style democracy has increased internal contradictions in the coronavirus crisis, and especially in the United States, which was the leader of democracy, this system of government has become half-destroyed, due to the increasing division of the people. I considered democracy in crisis from several perspectives, and based on that, I had a discussion with the students in the teacher-training course. To put it simply, democracy is a system in which "decisions are made by majority so that gains authority," but since the majority do not always make the right choice, each and every citizen must continue making constant efforts so that society can be sublated and integrated in the right direction. In the discussion, they gave a number of opinions at a higher level than expected, and I was able to confirm a certain degree of the spreading their horizons and the deepening ideas as a whole.
