| 内容記述 | A case study of a private university student counseling center over a 33-year period was conducted from the perspective of the life cycle of a nonprofit organization. When an organization develops activities to fulfill its mission, it goes through cycles of start-up, growth, maturity, and decline. In this student counseling center, we found that for 33 years it had gone through two life cycles and was on its way to the third. In the first period, the mission was to create an institution capable of providing professional psychological services, and in the second period, the mission was to create an institution capable of cooperation and collaboration within a universitywide student support system. The trends of several indicators show that while the first period was relatively rich in budgetary measures and abundant in activities, the second period is under pressure to deal with a larger number of users than the first period under a tight budget. Finally, the study also examined the factors that promote and hinder the enrichment and development of student counseling institutions that are in line with the principles of student counseling. | |||||
